Eligibility Criteria include the following:
- Students should have completed their junior year and be in the upper
third of their class preferably.
- Students should show interest in government and current events.
- Students should have high moral character.
- Students should have outstanding qualities of leadership.
- Students should be interested in people and public speaking.
Interested students should see their school counselor for more information
and deadlines.
HOBY-Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Seminar
This
program is open to an outstanding tenth grade student. HOBY’s
mission is to provide lifelong leadership development opportunities that
empower individuals to achieve their full potential. One sophomore
is selected with demonstrated or potential leadership ability to represent
the school.
Governor’s School for Excellence
This program is an exceptional opportunity for rising 11th graders from
all over the state to share in a week of academic, artistic, and leadership
development at the University of Delaware.
Guidelines, deadlines, and criteria for eligibility will be available in
the Guidance Office.

SEED Scholarships
The Delaware SEED (Student Excellence Equals Degree) scholarship program provides tuition for full time students enrolled in an associate's degree program at Delaware Technical & Community College (DTCC) or the Associate of Arts program at the University Of Delaware (UD).
